Source of Stress Explained
We were born with an abundance of all 26 minerals & trace elements (embryonic fluid contains same
Minerals found in the Dead Sea).
Some minerals are natural anti-inflammatory, others ensure a regular heart beat, allow us to absorb vitamins &
proteins, they enable us to move, to think, to do anything
As soon as we are born, we start losing those minerals (aging). A good diet/lifestyle allows us to sustain and/or
regain some of these minerals back. The older we get or the more toxin we have, the more our cells rejecting
these minerals & trace elements (which allow us to absorb vitamins & proteins, regulate our moist and help to
de-tox & rejuvenate our body, etc)
Each Body has (mainly due to genetics) certain weak spots. Some families have a history of heart problems;
others have diabetes, skin disorders and so on. When exposed to any kind of stress (see below), the weakest spot
will be attacked and causes to become a condition.
5 FORMS OF STRESS —
- HORMONAL
DUE TO/ E.G.: PMS, MENOPAUSE, MEDICATION, CHEMOTHERAPY, THYROID IMBALANCE
- EMOTIONAL
DUE TO/ E.G: DEPRESSION (DEATH OF LOVED ONE, BREAK UPS, ETC), AGGRESSION, INSOMNIA
- PHYSICAL
DUE TO/ E.G: TOO MUCH OR TO LITTLE PHYSICAL EXERCISE, NIGHT SHIFTS OR SHIFT CHANGES
- ENVIRONMENTAL
DUE TO/ E.G: CLIMATE (TOO HOT, COLD, POLLUTED, DRY, HUMID)
- NUTRITIONAL
DUE TO/ E.G: TOO MUCH SODIUM/SALT, SUGAR, TOO LITTLE VEGETABLES/FRUITS, PROCESSED FOOD (HORMONE TREATED, MSG, PRESERVATIVES)
THESE STRESSORS CAUSE US TO LOSE CERTAIN MINERALS MORE RAPIDLY WHICH MAY SHOW UP
THESE STRESSORS CAUSE US TO LOSE CERTAIN MINERALS MORE RAPIDLY WHICH MAY SHOW UP
EITHER/OR/AND
- FORM OF SKIN-DISORDER (SINCE SKIN IS OUR LARGEST ORGAN & EASIEST OUTLET) OR
- THE WAY WE FEEL (TIRED, DEPRESSED, IRRITABLE, AGGRESSIVE, ETC) OR
- OUR BODY FUNCTIONS ( WEIGHT GAIN, HYPERTENSION, DIABETES (INABILITY TO PROCESS SUGARS), ARTHRITIS (INABILITY TO PROCESS ACIDS), THYROID IMBALANCE
Using our Dead Sea Products (as directed): they will help to supply the body with the minerals they need
so that body (function) can be restored to its outmost restore potential
Even though it is recommended to have a balanced diet, it would be impossible to get through food alone
quantity of all the minerals, vitamins & trace elements our body needs on a daily basis. Our skin (the largest
organ) can absorb the (Dead Sea) minerals 100% & will accept them within our 28-day Bio-cycle (can translate
into 54 days), regardless of age or how many toxins one has. The skin will be able to breathe (maintenance
Wash & moisturize), will be de-toxified (treatment) and will prevent/minimize further flair ups of one’s
condition.

RHEUMATIC DISEASES
The Dead Sea represents an unique reservoir of salts that provides a special potential for outdoor Balneotherapy. Patients
suffering from any kind of arthritis undergo their treatment including bathing in the Dead Sea, bathing in pools containing
Dead Sea water or thermal sulfur spring water, self application of black mud at the Sea shore, envelopment of warm mud packs
to the joints and medical massage.
In addition to these active therapies, the ambient environmental conditions, such as: uniformly warm temperatures and a low level
of relative humidity, high barometric pressure, oxygen-rich air, bromide-rich atmosphere, and floating in the Dead Sea water, aid
to the improvement and the well-being of the patients and their joints.
Experience and careful examination of the patient help the physician to decide in which quantity and frequency of the above mentioned
therapies and therapeutic skills have to be applied. Usually, Dead Sea baths and self mud applications are used on a 2- or 4-time daily basis,
where the other procedures are provided only 2 or 3 times a week.
With an improvement of symptoms allows this, medications like pain killers and non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents can often be
reduced, and sometimes be stopped completely. However, disease modifying drugs have to be continued (or may be slowly reduced),
as the results rarely appear before the two or three first weeks of treatment

RHEUMATIC DISEASES AND CONDITIONS TREATED AT THE DEAD SEA
- Inflammatory arthritides
- Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis
- Seronegative Spondylarthropathies : Bechterew disease (Ankylosing Spondylitis), Psoriatic Arthritis, Reactive Arthritis (e.g. Reiters syndrome)
- Degenerative arthritides
- Osteoarthritis
- Back and Neck Problems
-
- Chronic or Acute Low Back pain and Cervical Syndrome
- Other conditions
- Fibromyalgia
- Tendonitis
- Bursitis
- Recovery from different orthopedic surgeries
Healthy skin and physical and mental well being is dependent on the correct sodium and potassium or fluid
balance in the body. This is regulated by the Adrenal gland, which in turn affect healthy function of the kidneys.
The kidneys are responsible for controlling 28 chemicals in the body. An imbalance of these chemicals or
electrolytes can result in certain skin or other symptoms and over an extended period of time results in various
illnesses.
Assisting to replace or remove electrolytes enables the body to maintain a good fluid balance thereby improving
a feeling of relaxation, health and well being. Below is a list of the therapeutic benefits of the Dead Sea
products together with the conditions or symptoms they alleviate.
The Dead Sea Salts differ from regular sea salt in 2 important ways.
- They contain 10 times more minerals than sea salt.
- The Dead Sea salts absorb essential oils with ease, which enables them to be released into the bath water as
they dissolve. This is beneficial for those wishing to benefit from the Dead Sea in the privacy of their own
home.
Some of the minerals found in the Dead Sea are listed (LATER ON )below together with their functions or
benefits to health.
This provides some insight as to why these minerals assist in cleansing, de-toxing and restoring a healthy status
quo of the body, especially the skin and muscles.
Rheumatologic conditions e.g. alkalosis, arthritis (cystine patients with arthritis), rheumatoid arthritis,
psoriatic arthritis, back pain, bursitis, neuralgia, fibrosis, osteoarthritis, polyarthritis, spondylosis, and
tendonitis.
Arthritic Disorders:
There are 1000 or more different types of arthritic or rheumatologic conditions known today. Of these some are
inflammatory in nature and some are acquired e.g. osteoarthritis is linked to mechanical overuse of certain
joints. Some of the conditions include rheumatoid arthritis, poly arthritis, psoriatic arthritis (a combination of
psoriasis and arthritis) ankylosing spondylosis, systemic lupus erathematosis, and more. The cause for these
conditions is as yet unknown and there is no known cure for them using conventional or allopathic medicine.
Various studies have taken place at the Dead Sea using treatment programs combining the atmosphere of the
Dead Sea with the Dead Sea minerals, baths (balneotherapy) and mudpack treatments (Pelotherapy) with good
results. Of particular interest is that heating the mud and applying to sore or inflamed joints has proven to
eliminate stiffness and pain. This is due to the minerals improving blood circulation necessary to reduce the
inflammatory response, together with the detoxing agent and general muscle relaxant. When the mud has been
heated, the ability of the elements to penetrate and be absorbed into the system is increased.
WHAT IS FIBROMYALGIA????????
Fibromyalgia is a condition that causes widespread pain all over the body, fatigue and a
sleep disorder along with many other symptoms such as IBS and memory problems.
The exact cause or causes of Fibromyalgia are not yet known but it is thought that some
kind of trauma may trigger it off. Right now there is no cure for Fibromyalgia but research is going
on around the world. Treating this condition can be frustrating as there is no treatment that works
for everyone. Self Help Groups and education are probably the best ways to deal with this
condition as well as a gentle exercise program.
There are no blood tests or x-rays which show any abnormality to diagnose Fibromyalgia.
This initially led many doctors to consider the problems suffered by FMS patients
were all "in their heads" or that they had a form of masked depression. Extensive psychological
tests have shown these impressions were unfounded. A physician's diagnosis of FMS is based on
taking a careful history and the existence of tender areas in specific areas of muscle which are
called "tender points". They are extremely tender to touch. Frequently, pressure over one of these
areas will be so painful that the patient will feel like screaming out.
Malic acid and magnesium
Two of the new 90's diseases are chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS) and fibromyalgia (FM). The
medical society has had a hard time pinpointing what causes these syndromes and some have even
been known to dismiss it as all being in your head. Most physicians now recognize CFS and FM as
a painful, real medical condition. They are not psycho-somatic illness and should not be treated as
such. Both of these illnesses deal with a lot of pain, sleep disturbances, chronic fatigue, depression,
stiffness, gastrointestinal disturbances, anxiety, muscle spasms and cardiovascular problems. Anti
inflammatory medicines and analgesics generally do not relieve these painful symptoms.
Deficiencies of certain nutrients have been related to these disorders as well as extreme stress or
trauma.
One of the main nutrients the body may be deficient in is the mineral magnesium. Aluminum
toxicity has also been related to these disorders. Magnesium is needed to block the toxic effects of
aluminum. An overabundance of aluminum in the body inhibits the breakdown of sugars needed
for ATP production and storage in the muscles. In times of physical exertion the body becomes
fatigued easily and encounters a lot of pain. The pain results from the body having to break down
muscle tissue for energy which results in aching, pain and fatigue in the muscles.
Not only does magnesium block the effects of aluminum but it also helps in the synthesis of ATP
and has a relaxing effect on the muscle tissue itself. Another known nutrient deficiency is that of
malic acid. Malic acid is found in abundance in the vegetable kingdom and especially in apples and
other fruit acids. Malic acid plays an important part in sugar metabolism and in the formation of
ATP. It does this by increasing the utilization of substances needed for ATP synthesis. Malic acid is
one of the best detoxifiers of aluminum in the body and has also been found to eliminate ammonia
which is very toxic to the brain and liver. By combining both magnesium and malic acid CFS and
FM sufferers have found tremendous relief from pain and fatigue.
Other points to remember with these conditions is that they seem to be related to stress and
endocrine imbalances of the hypothamic-pituitary-thyroid axis. Cardiovascular health should be
improved as well as improving neurotransmitter function in the brain with natural herbs such as
ginkgobiloba and lecithin. If your body is in a state of debilitated health such as CFS or FM
remember it did not happen over night. It takes a lot of physical and mental abuse for your body to
be in this sort of state. To get it back to the healthy state it should be in, will not happen over night
also. Give your body some tender loving care with the proper nutrients it needs, taking time out to
relax and relieving some of the stress in your day. Make health a habit
